Perhaps it is a more than a coincidence that Olympique de Marseille won the European Cup with perhaps the best strip they’ve ever worn. The only French side to have won the competition they can rest happy that they did it in style, in all aspects of the word.
This redesign of the Philadelphia Eagles’ uniform from Jesse Alkire shows the NFL how it should be done. The return to a lighter green from the Eagles’ past keeps the look fresh, while the wing pattern on both the helmet and the shoulders is a simple yet powerful touch. For me this is far more stylish than the usual cartoon eagle’s head that currently dons the kit. All round a very sharp new uniform design that I want to see the Eagles take on board!
Umbro’s kits for Lima-based Peruvian club Universitario have been astonishing of late. From the retro look of the 88th anniversary edition kit, to the old-school reversible kit, these are the reasons that Umbro should be welcomed back to the English Premier League with open arms. Could you imagine an Arsenal kit similar to this design? I want to see one.
Now this is a throwback I’d like to see used far more often. The deeper burgundy oozes class, while the traditional gold adds a rich, classic touch. This combination, along with the traditional logo gives this jersey every right to be used as much as, if not more than the standard home uniform.
